Three problems related to front seat belt retractor have been reported for the 1997 Ford Expedition. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driving down highway and stopping at a red light the seat belt broke off from the frame of the door and hit driver in head. Vehicle has been repaired.
When installing css on the left side of second row the middle seatbelt retractor will quit working due to pressure on the left seat. It is a design flaw.
Center/rear seat belt will not retract, consumer has contacted the dealer , dealer has yet to replace any parts.
