The straps holding the gas tank in place have rusted out causing the gas tank to separate from the vehicle.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer who verified the failure and advised that the vehicle could not be repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The vehicle was not repaired.
