He brake pedal is loated too close to the accelerator and when depressed goes down below the accelerator so when the extreme right side of the brake is depressed by a bruad shoe the accelerator is also depressed causing the car to accelerate rather than braking. This can and did result in an accident in which I rear ended the car stopped in front of me. This occurred on a city street when I was moving in traffic below the posted 30mph limit.
My husband was parked in our driveway. He switched the truck from park to reverse as he does to slowly back up, without accelerating, the truck accelerated at full force in reverse and he went clear through our garage door which bent, crushed and DE-hinged, the garage door was then pushed back into his motorcycles and into the framing of the house causing mass destruction. The car would not stop, the gear would not switch into park and the breaks would not work. The vehicle could not be stopped from accelerating at top speed in reverse into my home. There is burn out marks in my garage from where the wheels were spinning full speed, there is a tailpipe burn mark where the truck was launched into the garage door. The vehicle clearly failed mechanically and in the process of that there is mass destruction to my home, our vehicle, our bikes and a ton of stuff in the garage. Thank god my husbands injuries did not result in death and thank god my children were not in the garage as they usually are when we are outside. There is no way my little 3 year old would have survived this. I feel very unsafe and will never drive this car again.

Engine continues to run after foot is taken off gas pedal, one time the vehicle accelerated up to 85mph. . . The only way to stop it was to shift it into neutral, when I did this the engine was revving to it's limits. I turned the engine off which meant the power assist to the brakes was no longer working. This seems to be an extremely unsafe thing for this vehicle to do. This was the last time the vehicle did this. After the truck sits for 5-10mins with the engine off it will restart & appear to be normal, however this problem reappeared 5 times in total in the course of a 400 mile trip. The big problem is that this vehicle will continue to run & ib one instance accelerate after the drivers foot is taken off the gas pedal.
While traveling 55 mph and when driver was decelerating vehicle started to accelerate by itself, even after brake pedal was being depressed. A second incident occurred two days later. No accidents or injuries occurred. Took vehicle to dealer.
The car accelerates quickly when slowly stopping. Going into a parking space very slowly when I put on the brake the car accelerated to 3000rpm's I pushed the brake hard, the drive wheel spun and smoked I pulled it out of gear and turned off the ignition to stop the engine does not do it all the time took to dealer not a good response they may think I am nuts??.
Vehicle failed to stop and engine speed increased. Break pedal was fully depressed. Accelerator pedal was not was not depressed. Vehicle only stopped when transmission was put in neutral. A serious accident was narrowly avoided. Will bring vehicle to dealer for check-out ASAP.
This happens periodically when consumer is at a stop light the truck begins to roar and pull forward while foot is on the brake pedal. Also, the rpm goes over 7,ooo, have to put the truck in neutral and the cut the truck off, and then cut it back on.
When applying the brakes to come to a stop the engine will surge from 2500 to 3000rpm. Dlr has seen vehicle 4 times, still no solution.
The vehicle will intermittently surge or stall upon acceleration . Dealer has put it on computer, but cannot determine what is causing the problem.
