Ten problems related to windshield wiper/washer have been reported for the 1998 Ford Expedition. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Front windshield/wiper fluid dispenser: cross-country road trip - failure to dispense wiper fluid. Sporadic dispensing of wiper fluid on road trip and continues to this day. Pushing button hard & at different angles sometimes works.
Front and rear wipers and washers stop working. Will work if turn signal is activated. Dt.
Windsheild washer just completly failed.
Wipers go on at all different times and speed by themselves.
While driving in snow and sleet the windshield could not be cleared. The outside temperature was 20 degrees, the defroster was set to maximum speed and temperature. Ice formed on the windshield very quickly, and the wipers and defroster were totally ine.
Rear window wipers out of order. Yh.
Windshield washer pump out of order. Yh.
When driving in the rain the windshield wipers will work intermittently, at times causing the consumer to have visibility problems. Dealer can't determine the problem.
