1 Rear Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 08/24/2004

Consumer stated that the seat belt on the third row/middle locked. His 4 year old daughter was seated there. The seat belt would not release the child. Instead of the seat tightened up. Consumer had to go to the dealer and have the seat belt cut off his child. It was very frightening to him , his wife, and the child.

2 Rear Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 06/04/2003

2003 Ford Expedition - second row seat belts continually twist when buckling child in car seat. I have tried straightening belt several times. This is a concern to me because if the belt should twist across the shoulder or belly it could cause more bodily injury than a belt that is flat. The belts appear thin and floppy.
