general problems of the 2007 Ford Expedition

My expodition has a bad gas smell and skips a little please help me.

Every time I fuel up the gas fumes fill the inside of the vehicle and the smell is so strong that we have to turn off our cell phones in fear of ignition.

While driving the vehicle, the contact noticed the smell of fuel in the vehicle and the fuel miles per gallon dropped. After further inspection of the engine, the contact noticed that the fuel was leaking from the fuel rail on the engine. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or repaired. Throttle stuck wide open, power exceeded brakes ability to stop. Released by violently pressing accelerator repeatedly. Vehicle equipped with adjustable brake/gas pedals. Determined occurs when pedals are set in the lowest most position. There was no carpet or floor mat interference!! can duplicate at will.

While driving on the interstate or fwy at about 55-60 mph - I start to increase in speed, while going with the flow of traffic my Expedition eddie bauer model spurts/hesitates/loses power "but never cuts off" every time before the speed increases. We took it to the Ford dealer several times an they are unable to determine what is wrong with the vehicle. The Ford dealer told us they can't do not about it until the engine light comes on. We suggested to the Ford dealer that it maybe the fuel filter or O2 sensor but they told us this model vehicle does not have a fuel filter and our O2 sensors are good. My issue is why should I have to wait till the vehicle breaks down when it does this all the time.

When fueling every time. The pump auto shut off clicks and about a quart of fuel burps out of the fill all over the ground, the side of the truck and whoever happens to be standing next to the fill. Complaint made to dealer(s). No solutions. Dealer(s) blame faulty pump equipment. Cant be all of the pumps from florida to new york.

Intensity of the lighting supplied to the electronic message center (which displays mileage, odometer, remaining fuel mileage, fuel economy, compass, etc. ) is provided through a photocell on the dashboard. It is wired incorrectly, so that high intensify light (as in daylight) reduces the amount of light displayed. This is backwards. It makes all functions of the electronic message center (odometer, etc. ), impossible to read in normal daylight conditions. Local Ford dealership tells me that this problem is common to a significant number of Ford cars and trucks for several years, including and more recently than 2007. A letter to Ford did not provide any suggestions for repair. In order to read anything on this display in normal light, it is necessary to duck your head down and stare at it for about ten or more seconds. If this action has not yet caused any fatalities, I can't imagine why.
