The contact owns a 2008 Ford Expedition. The contact stated the hydraulic control module failed twice in the past year. The brake pedal was depressed abnormally into the floorboard and the contact had to pump the brakes before getting a response. The second time the failure recurred, the abs light illuminated on the instrument panel before the failure. The failure mileage was 43,588 and the current mileage was 65,505.
The contact owns a 2008 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that the anti-lock brake system (abs) activated without warning and caused an abnormal increase in stopping distance. The failure was experienced several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for the failure. The dealer performed a diagnostic but was unable to locate a failure code. The vehicle was also test driven and the technician was unable to recreate the failure. The transmission and brake pads were replaced but the failure was not corrected. The abs light continued to activate independently and without warning. The manufacturer advised the contact that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 07e105000 (service brakes, air: antilock: control unit/module front brake pads). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 50,000 and the current mileage was 70,000.
The contact owns a 2008 Ford Expedition. The contact took his vehicle to the dealer to have the abs warning light checked. The mechanic discovered a sensor in the rear driver side tire. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer to be repaired; however, no repairs were made. The mechanic advised him to bring the vehicle in the following day and the oil was changed at that time. The mechanic stated that he would order the parts for the repair. When the contact retrieved the vehicle, he was informed that the failure had been resolved. However, approximately nine miles down the road, the traction control and abs lights illuminated. Later that afternoon, the contact called the mechanic and they cleaned some grease from around the wheel hub. The mechanic stated that if the failure persists, he will order more new parts. The mechanic picked up the vehicle to install the new parts, but the failure recurred on June 4, 2008. The failure mileage was 3,000 and current mileage was 5,000. Updated 07/08/08. Updated.
The contact owns a 2008 Ford Expedition. While driving at an unknown speed, the traction control light illuminated by itself. The vehicle began swerving back and forth. The contact had to tap the brakes a few times in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the cause was a faulty yaw valve and they replaced the component. Two days later, the light illuminated again. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and they stated that the failure was repaired. Once the contact retrieved the vehicle, the failure recurred. The vehicle is currently back at the dealer for the same failure. The powertrain was unknown. The current and failure mileages were 3,400.
