The contact owns a 2009 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked when he noticed that he was unable to adjust the front driver side seat to slide backward. The contact expressed concerns of being seated too close to the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the contact was informed that the motor, seat track and wiring needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that the manufacturer was using an updated wiring system if he opted for the repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 58,000.
The contact owns a 2009 Ford Expedition. Immediately after purchasing the vehicle on December 22, 2008, the contact noticed that the head rests on both the driver and passenger sides offered no support between the back and shoulders. The dealer stated that the head rests were manufactured in that manner as a safety feature. The manufacturer stated that they were not liable for repairing the head rests because there was no defect.
