36 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 09/11/2023

2 failures in vehicle 1) NHTSA recall 22s56 - blower motor causing excessive heat and posing a fire risk. Parts attached to blower fan not covered under recall (resistor and harness) caught fire, burned, and melted. Ford refuses to cover the additional parts under recall. I have photos from dealer of melted and burned parts behind dash. We smelled something burning in truck and then the front blower ceased working. Now I know why - many owners reporting same things and this repair should be covered, or recall expanded to include these additional repairs if needed due to the excessive heat from the blower motor. This could have very easily caused a vehicle fire while I was driving, and we could have been seriously injured. 2) rear back up camera failure due to poor seal around camera and lack of waterproofing of camera electronics causing corrosion and failure. Problem clearly seen in attached video ( not my car but same exact issue) again, many other owners experiencing same issue. This is a safety hazard as camera suddenly failed while I was reversing and caused a near miss of a pedestrian. Camera components need to be waterproofed and sealed better - there is clearly water leaking into the rear door panel causing corrosion as indicated by dealer. Https://video. Search. Yahoo. 45 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2023

I have been having an issue with an intermittent blower motor not working, it was replaced by Ford in November 2022 and as of July 2023 it is needing to be replaced again as I have no a/c or front blower motor again. I have attempted to have this recall fixed and Ford still does not have the new part so this will not continue to happen. I currently live in florida and have 2 small kids with no a/c in our vehicle, the current dealer that I am working with stated I can get a rental car and pay for it out of my own pocket until Ford can finally get a new part that will work and hope I will be refunded. They are attempting to order the temporary part again and replace the blower motor for a 2nd time but have advised me they don’t know how long it will take to get the part and when they do get the part they will need my car for 4-5 days with no option of a rental on their dime. I have been dealing with intermittent blower motor issues for almost a year now and Ford has not been able to remedy this recall. I feel I am being bounced around and Ford is not taking ownership of getting the new fix since 8/26/2022.

The hvac blower motor connector for the Ford has completely burned out. When in use, it is hot to the touch (too hot too touch sometimes) and emits an electrical burning smell. The hvac unit now only works on high and if the unit is connected in a certain angle. I took the vehicle into Ford in kirksville,mo and their technician told me it wasn't covered under the blower motor recall and it was going to cost $600+ to repair. When I asked the technician that upon replacing the part, what would keep it from happening again I was told Ford realized the grounding wire in the connector wasn't strong enough to hold the charge, and they have sense come out with a part where the grounding wire is "heavy duty". When I contacted Ford about the issue they informed me that it was not covered under the blower motor recall and there were currently no programs to cover the repair.

70 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/11/2022

I've received several letters about motor vehicle safety since last year. I contacted the Ford dealership last year for it, and instead of fixing my car, they hit it while waiting in the dealer, so they focus more on fixing the hood that was damage and body of the car, and pressured me to sign a document to agree to fix it, while I had my husband at the hospital in icu. But, the recall problem was never fixed, they said because they didn't have the part. Something in the engine was damage, so I had to take the car almost every month to try to fix it. I kept getting letters about the recall, and they kept saying that the part was ordered and they were going to call me when ready. Never did. Last week around August 25 I received another recall letter. I added in my to dos to call, as a single mom now, its a little difficult, so I could not call during the week, and Sunday 8/26 while I was driving my car with my children, we could hear a weird noise, then smell of smoke, and some smoke coming from the front ac blower, then the ac stopped working. I contacted the dealership this morning, and I was asked to bring the car, that they have the part ready (which I never was notified before), so I dropped my kids in school and took the car to the dealership, after waiting for more than 2hrs, they said they part wasn't good, and they couldn't get it fixed. I need help to get this fixed, and to have a warranty that this is safe and will work.
