Eight problems related to front seat belt anchorage have been reported for the 1996 Ford Explorer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Both front seats belts release on their own. Have done so numerous times. I will replace them today. Dt.
Seat belt failed.
Driver's side seatbelt was installed backwards, to fasten one must twist the belt.
Driving vehicle, suddenly the driver's side seat belt strap came apart and the bolt fell out on the floor of the vehicle.
