One problem related to air brake antilock has been reported for the 1998 Ford Explorer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Three times I needed to stop quickly and when the abs system engauged the braking slowed considerably . The car four car lengths in front of me braked much much faster than I could even though I was ready to brake at that moment.
