The consumer brought the vehicle for tire recall, and it was discovered the vehicle's rear brakes were non-functioning, also the rear calipers had rusted out and the pads were not making contact with the disc surfaces, dealer replaced rear pads and rotors.

2 Brake Foundation Components problem

Failure Date: 03/01/1999

Braking system malfunctioned, causing no braking ability, which may resultin a crash. Been to dealer several times, delaer cannot determine the cause. Please provide further information.

3 Brake Foundation Components problem

98 Ford Explorer - 1. Gas pedal sticks, so force must be used to get moving. . . Dealer ordered new throttle body. 2. Loud squel from front brakes (constant and loud enough to frighten people walking along road), dealer cleaned brakes, but noise returned after just 200 mile,. . . Waiting for appointment with dealer.

While driving 40-45 mph when appyling the brakes, the brakes locked up causing loss of vehicle control. Consumer also states that the front right wheel came completely off and the truck flipped over causing injuries to the passengers. Nlm.
