One problem related to other fuel system hoses lines/piping, and fittings has been reported for the 1998 Ford Explorer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The inertia switch is located in an area where a passenger's right foot can hit it's wiring and could cause it to become disconnected while driving. Causing the fuel to be shut off unexpectedly.
