I was told in Dec 2004 by my mechanic that my transmission was failing (my vehicle had only 32k miles at the time), but because my 2000 Ford Explorer was too old, there was not any thing that I could do other than pay for a repair. Regardless of age, I don't think any transmission should fail with only 32k miles on the car.
Transmission failed prematurely. Transmission was replaced three times.
Consumer stated that while driving at any speed and without warning the transmission failed causing the vehicle not to accelerate. Dealer notified. Ts.
Transmission fails to brake in low gear. Have repaired 3 times, Ford refuses to repair again, says they are aware of the problem but cant fix it. I use low gear in steep mountain terrain where I live and it is a safety issue. They said use the brakes. I thought they should fix the vehicle. Please help.
