1 Speed Control Cable problem

Failure Date: 05/07/2001

Consumer was traveling at approximately 75 mph on cruise control. Attempted to slow vehicle down by applying brakes. Vehicle was very difficult to bring to a stop. When vehicle stopped, engine was still idling/running at the 75 mph level. Consumer shut vehicle off. Then, turned vehicle back on, and engine automatically started idling at a high speed. Please provide any additional information/attachments. *passerby stated that idle cable became stuck, and released it to prevent engine from running at 75 mph level.
