1 Wiring problem

Water leaking in through 3rd row driver side seatbelt, leaks down to powerfold electrical wiring, and accumulates under seat/carpet and into spare tire well. The water coming into contact with the electrical wiring can cause great harm to NY children who sit back there. The water on carpet causes mold and mildew which is a hazard to out health. The water in spare tire well can cause rust and subsequent exhaust fumes to enter into cabin.

2 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 03/15/2013

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while driving 10 mph, the vehicle stalled as the back-up camera failed with the illumination of the low oil pressure warning light. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis where it was stated that the back-up camera wiring needed to be replace but the dealer was unable to duplicate the stalling problem. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 5,000.
