Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while stationed, smoke was detected coming for out of the hood. The vehicle was pushed out into an open parking lot where it caught on fire. The contact stated that prior to the fire, there was a loud noise detected. The contact started to put the fire out and the local fire department finished. A police and fire report was filed. There were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was towed to village Ford 23535 michigan Ave, dearborn, mi 48124 (313) 565-3900 where the vehicle is currently being under investigation. The contact mentioned that he feel as thought that the fuse panel is melting by looking at other vehicles of the same year make and model. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000. Dr.
