Upon inspection, it was discovered that pieces of the rubber tread had separated from the tire on both the front driver and passenger sides. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was not notified. Veterans Ford (7201 linebaugh Ave, tampa, FL) was informed of the failure. The dot number and VIN were unknown. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was 21,000.

2 Tire Tread/belt problem

Tl the contact owns a 2017 Ford Explorer equipped with hankook ventus s1 noble 2 tires, size: 255/50r20. The contact noticed that the tire tread was separated on all four tires. The vehicle was taken to crossroads Ford of kernersville, inc (1330 nc-66, kernersville, nc 27284, 877-331-8058) where it was diagnosed that the tires had fractured. The tires were not replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate tire and vehicle failure mileage was 28,000. The dot number was not available.
