1 Body problem

Failure Date: 12/19/2025

I brought my 2025 Explorer in on 12/19/2025 for a recall check. I mentioned to the service advisor that the left rear inner wheel well skirt was detached from the quarter panel. After the car was looked at, he came to me and said that they can be replaced at a cost of $600. . . Wtf. He said it is from the snow and ice tearing them because of the larger tires on the vehicles now. . . . No shit . . We live in wny. This is a brand new-ish vehicle with 15,000 miles. How is this something that is my cost, there is obviously a problem with parts or engineering. Basically I will have to replace these after every winter season for the reason that was given. . . . Again. . . Why is this not covered. I regress, he did say Ford may help the first time. . . Really?? what happens the next winter and the one after that?? $40k+ for the vehicle and this.

2 Body problem

Failure Date: 09/08/2025

The tailgate on the vehicle has experienced repeated misalignment issues. The first occurrence happened at 811 miles. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the body shop performed adjustments to correct the alignment. Approximately nine months later, at around 7,500 miles, the tailgate became misaligned again. The vehicle is currently undergoing another adjustment under warranty to address the same issue. This repeated condition raises concern about the integrity and durability of the tailgate alignment and related components. Improper alignment could potentially affect the secure closure of the tailgate and may pose a safety risk if it were to open unexpectedly or fail to latch properly while driving.

3 Body problem

Failure Date: 05/07/2025

My 2025 Ford Explorer has a wind noise that Ford has admitted to having an issue with. My case number is cxh04811376. In the upper corner of both the drivers and passenger side front window there is a loud wind noise that begins at speeds of 40 mph and more. A customer experience specialist admitted there is a problem but they will not fix it until there is a recall.
