Car Stall Problems of Ford Explorer Sport

My Ford year 2000 idles rough and stalls in cold weather. I thought the problem was dirty injectors and kept having them flushed which temp. Fixed prob. A mechanic stated that it was the timing chain and that Ford would fix it for free, for they did on his explorer. I contacted Ford and they said that I was over the miles and that it was a customer satisfaction recall. Well not only am I not satisfied, but it seems to be a safety factor as well. What if a pull out into an intersection and my car stalls. Crossing a highway and my car stalls. I would have thought that Ford would have cared more about their customers especially given that this is my 3rd Ford and I am only 30 yrs old. Regardless, of that fact, thaey should be required to fix the problem in order to keep their drivers safe on the road.

Vehicle's motor stalled out when the accelerator was depressed. The consumer wants to put Ford motor company on notice that his vehicle is in fact defective and has not been repaired and respectfully request that Ford motor company will extend the warranty on this vehicle and remedy a future failure, at no cost, should a similar problem reccur after the warranty expires.

This vehicle stalls when idling at a red light or at standstill. This vehicle also doesn't always start at first try. There is also either a bad cluster or lose wires to the dash cluster.

Intermittently while driving vehicle stalled. Sometimes this occurred more frequently in wet weather. Driver would let vehicle sit for ten minutes then it would restart.

My father-in-law has the same problem. He bought his 5 days after me, his stalled 5 times to this date. Remember the news, (fog and major pile up with numerous deaths) what was the reason ? I don't want this to be our accident waiting to happen. "intermittent" , couldn't "reproduce" the problem. Not good enough to keep my family safe. Please help. Dt.

While in idle vehicle will stall out or at times just start shaking, idles roughly constantly. Contacted dealer, and the dealer was not willing to do anything.
