One problem related to automatic transmission has been reported for the 2006 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Transmission pressure control failure. Automatic transmission has difficulty switching from 2nd gear to 3rd gear and this causes the motor to accelerate to high rpm in the process. A large jolt can be felt when this occurs as well. Troubleshooting code p0745 is present.
