Three problems related to wheel bolts have been reported for the 1996 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The left rear wheel on the consumer's 1996 Ford f150 separated from vehicle. The vehicle's left rear brake drum was hitting the pavement and resulted in pieces of the pavement to strike another vehicle. The Ford f150 had recent tire and rim work done.
Possible design flaw of four front wheel studs which broke off causing vibration which could have resulted in collision.
Dealer complained about lugs, nuts, and bolts being too loose. Consumer states that wheels feel as if they are coming off when vehicle is in motion.
