Three problems related to battery have been reported for the 1997 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
1997 Ford f150 Dec. 7, 2005 - air conditioning continued running with engine off. Dec. 8, 2005 - engine repeatedly trying to turn over with truck in park with ignition off and no key in ignition. I disconnected the battery and had it towed to dealership.
When attempting to clean the positive battery terminal engine started.
Consumer states the battery drainage continues to occur. Battery was replaced and incident has occurred approximately four times. Dealer contacted and cannot remedy the problem. Problem still exist. Provide further information. . .
