Also later in this form I don't know what oem is.

Only 48,000 ml on recalled engine that was replaced. With only 48,000 ml on new engine, leads to manafold gasket leakage, head leaking and throwing a rod. Which allowed water in the oil. Failure Date: 11/19/2001

Engine failed at 46,900 miles due to water in the engine from a leaking gasket. The same gasket was replaced a year earlier by Ford under recall 99b29. Given that there are numerous postings on this type of failure, how many reported failures are required to mandate a vehicle recall?.

Timing cover gasket is leaking. I have seen dozens of posts on the internet that Ford fixed this for free as a recall, but Ford denies any recall. This is a premature failure that is happening often enough for a full recall of all 97 f150 with the 4. 2liter engine.
