Engine Oil Leaking problems of the 1998 Ford F-150

Three problems related to engine oil leaking have been reported for the 1998 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine Oil Leaking problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2005

Consumer's request assistance in getting Ford to reimburse them for repairs for faulty gasket on their 1998 Ford f150 pickup truck. Water leaked into the oil because of a faulty gasket which then caused the engine to blow. The consumer did some research and found out that the gasket was recall in 1999. The consumer indicated that he never received and notice of a gasket recall. The consumer request that Ford reimburse him for the faulty engine.

2 Engine Oil Leaking problem

Failure Date: 05/22/1998

Leaking valve cover gasket and gasket around spark plugs leaking allowing oil in cylinder. Repaired less than one year ago at 30,000 miles. Has reoccured at 33000 miles. Defective parts?.

3 Engine Oil Leaking problem

Failure Date: 01/31/1998

Defect in engine block, possibly crack or defective gasket. Engine oil is leaking onto hot engine.
