Three problems related to transmission not go into gear have been reported for the 1998 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving, the vehicle failed to change gears.
When accelerating it feels like the truck goes out of gear. The motor revs up,but does not engage in gear. When taking off from a stop the trucks stays in lower gear until driver lets off the gas. The dealer is aware of the problem. The truck is being checked by dealer for the forth time.
Transmission failed resulting in the vehicle not changing gears.
