Front Air Bag problems of the 1999 Ford F-150

The contact owns a 1999 Ford f150. While driving 5 mph, the front air bags deployed without warning or an impact. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. No repairs were made. The rearview mirror shattered and cut the driver's hand. The failure mileage was 172,000 and current mileage was 175,759. The consumer stated has included the cheapest estimate for repairs and multiple pictures of the vehicle. Updated 11/14/07.

While seat belted into the passenger seat of a Ford f150 my son was ejected in a front impact and roll over accident. The seat broke loose from the truck floor during the impact allowing him to come out of the seat belt and be ejected out onto the roadway causing severe injuries.

Vehicle was involved in a frontal collision while driving at 30 mph. Upon impact, none of the airbags deployed. Driver sustained throat and hip injuries when hitting the steering wheel. Also, passenger's head hit the dashboard and sustained a knot.

Driver and passenger airbags failed to activate during a 45 to 50 mph front end impact.

Consumer was traveling at 30 mph when another vehicle crossed his path and consumer slammed into the rear. Consumer states that none of the vehicles airbags deployed. Please provide any further information.

Front crash at 45 mph,and neither airbag deployed. Minor injuries to driver, damage to vehicle unknown at this time.

While traveling 35mph vehicle was hit on side by another vehicle and spun around, hitting a tree head-on by passenger's side. Neither air bag deployed. Vehicle was totaled. Had 1 injury and emergency room treatment.

Vehicle rear ended another vehicle at 10 mph, causing both air bags to deploy. Dealer/manufacturer were not contacted at this time.

While standing at a red light both front air bags deployed suddenly without an accident, nor rear ended just deployed. Ak.

I was struck hed on by a vehicle that was traveling at 50+mph and neither of my airbags deployed.

When truck crashed into the passenger's side rear quarter panel of another vehicle, traveling 27-30 mph , there was no deployment of the frontal air bags. The engine was pushed back against the fire wall, the frame was bent. The whole front was totaled . Truck is not driveable. Please provide any further information.

While driving in neighborhood a vehicle in front of passenger's vehicle passed the light on the left hand side, and another vehicle went through a red light, and crashed into the other car in front of consumer. Upon impact, neither airbags deployed.

Vehicle experienced sudden acceleration resulting in collision, no deployment of air bags during collision. Mjs.

While driving on the highway 60mph there were two cars ahead being towed with no lights on. Consumer didn't see them, and struck them from behind. Neither airbags deployed. Contact dealer for repairs. Parked in front of the trailer, thought the park lever was up, but it was in neutral with hand brakes on vehicle rolled forwards, and hit the trailer, cause airbags to deploy.

Was traveling approximately 15mph & ran red light. Hit another vehicle on right side. Checked other vehicle & returned. Started to move f150 & was turning steering wheel. Air bag popped (puffed) out, on fire, & fell into driver's lap. Did not exploded like it was suppose to do. Mjs.

Lost control of vehicle while driving 45-50mph on rain slick roads. Vehicle hit a pole, head on, on side of road & neither air bags deployed upon impact. Driver hit head on steering wheel. Had emergency treatment.

Consumer was in a head-on accident at 50 mph. And neither one of the air bag deployed. Dealer has not been contacted.

While driving at 5-10 mph the driver's and passenger's air bags deployed. Dealer contacted and was not aware of the problem. Repair work scheduled for remedy of problem when air bag order comes in.

False and violent deployment of air bags when driver slammed on brakes and went over rail road tracks, both air bags deployed blowing drivers hands of the steering wheel and bruising drivers ribs. Nlm.

While warming transmission was released while applying brakes, and vehicle took off. After 20 feet vehicle hit a house, and air bags deployed. Dealer has been contacted.

No deployment of passenger side frontal air bag during frontal collision. Nlm.
