Front Suspension problems of the 1999 Ford F-150

Two problems related to front suspension have been reported for the 1999 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Suspension problem

Consumer states there is a vibration in the performance of vehicle, due to possible suspension problems, consumer took vehicle to two different dealerships and was advised they did all they could regarding the vibrations, after numerous calls to delaership it was then decided that consumer would get another vehicle which was a brand new model, after driving new vehicle and reaching speeds of 40 to 65 mph consumer experienced the same type of vibrations as he did with his old vehicle, consumer was then advised by an engineer that the vibration is normal and that 90% of the problem is better, consumer feels this is not true and as of 04/03/01 problem still remains.

2 Front Suspension problem

When traveling and due to vibration spare tire was rubbing against the metal casing, causing the spare tire to wear. Consumer has contacted dealer. Dealer noted this was a common probelm. Please provide any further details.
