When consumer applied the emergency brake it would not hold. As a result the vehicle rolled backwards damaging the tailgate. Dealership inspected vehicle several times, but problem was not resolved.
Vehicle was parked on an incline with emergency brake on. Engine was not running. After 10 minutes a small child stepped out of the vehicle attempting to exit vehicle when it suddenly started rolling backwards, and ran over the child. Consumer vehicle was towed to a body shop. Please provide any further information.
