Clutch problems of the 2001 Ford F-150

1 Clutch problem

Failure Date: 12/05/2005

The slave cylinder on the clutch assembly leaks making the clutch inoperable and the driver unable to disengage the transmission. The problem is well known with Ford f150 owners yet there has not been a recall issued.

2 Clutch problem

Failure Date: 02/29/2004

Clutch failure: my truck has been in the shop multiple times for the malfunctioning of the clutch. The clutch has to be pumped up during long periods of non-use I. E. Long highway driving or parked. The dealership has replaced the slave cylinder twice, once under warranty, once owner paid.

3 Clutch problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2002

While driving consumer was unable to take vehicle out of gear. Dealer examined vehicle, and determined that slave cylinder failed, causing clutch assembly to leak.

4 Clutch problem

Failure Date: 12/23/2000

A golf cart bumped the vehicle while it was parked, the vehicle rolled approximately 15 feet and came to a rest against a fence, the dealer stated this was impossible, however it did happen, the dealership was supposed to get back with the consumer but have not.

5 Clutch problem

Consumer stated clutch slave cylinder failed . This caused the vehicle to take off unexpectedly while consumer's foot was on the brake. The dealer was contacted.
