Purchased a 2005 Ford f150 supercab truck on July 22, 2007 and have had to replace the tires 4 times within the last year due to rapid wear of the front tires. I have taken it to repair shops and had the front end and suspension check by 3 different tech's and they have all said that everything is to specs. What can I do to have this problem fixed.
: the contact stated the front end vibrated at 45mph and above. The vehicle was taken to the local dealership for inspection numerous times. The dealer replaced the driveshaft, transmission mounts, cut the rotors and tightened the pinion in the rear end. Although these repairs were made, this did not remedy the problem.
Excessive tire wear on all four tires in a 9 month time span. Had dealership look at the truck and was told that the alignment was off and it wasn't up to them to take care of the alignment but was told to contact tire manufacturer. While talking to the manufacturer rep on the phone she advised that she had read memos from Ford about problems with the alignment specs on the vehicle. Ford continues to refuse any kind of warranty work.
