Car Accelerates On Its Own problems of the 2006 Ford F-150

My husband was backing out of our driveway and had sudden acceleration that spun him up onto the lawn and finally the vehicle was stopped after hitting our house and going through the wall. The truck stopped with the back wheels inside the house with the engine continuing to rev.

The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-150. While the vehicle was parked with the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle spontaneously accelerated when placed in reverse. The acceleration lasted for approximately 30 seconds. The failure recurred, but while in forward gear approximately three times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but they could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000.

While pulling vehicle into garage the vehicle suddenly accelerated. I did not have a floor mat on the floor. This is about the fourth time this has happened since I bought the vehicle new. I took the vehicle to the Ford dealer approximately 2 years ago and they could not duplicate or determine the problem.
