Transmission and rear end jerking when putting in or taking out of park, reverse or drive and now doesn't want to go forward when putting it in drive and I can't get it to shift out and transmission fault light came on and I re set it by taking black cable off battery and put transmission fluid in it and it still does it and also headlights doesn't work on bright and power steering pump makes noise and it's full of fluid I don't know if it is leaking or what small stuff I can deal with but major transmission and engine stuff on truck I can't.

First the trans went out in the middle of no where at 1130 at night with my newborn. Then the engine went as I was driving to work. We found out it was the cam phasers which we had to replace the engine for. We have done $8000 in repairs and it's not recalled??.
Driving and started to shake, has nasty rattle (death rattle) threw code p0355. Fixed the code by installing new wires $500. 00. Fixed for 2 weeks then started doing it again and code p0355 came up again. Has lack of power and shakes bad. Very much a hazard to drive.
Put truck in reverse, it sped up and brakes did not work. Stopped by backing into a tree, then drove fine. Three days later came to an intersection and was unable to stop. Hit another vehicle in the intersection.
While driving at speeds of 5 to 15mph when the brake is engaged the trucks engine will rev and pull the truck forward. The only way to stop is to put it in n and pump the brakes, this will stop the acceleration.
Ford 150 pick up truck regularly maintained with 70,836 miles was travel on city streets at speed limits when a "popping" sound was heard and truck would not travel over 25mph. No cabin lights, no indication of problem. Immediately took to automotive center, found no error or trouble codes on diagnostic equipment and all fluid levels were full and clean. Automotive center discovered failed transmission with pieces of metal in transmission cooler and lines during transmission flush using factory recommended solution. Factory defect of transmission, engineering defect for lack of cabin warning lights and maintenance diagnostic equipment.
The failures stem from bad oil flow to the top end of the engine due to a flaw in design. Specifically my camshaft, cam phaser, timing components and lifters rollers have failed. The problem first showed up at 42256 miles and has since resurfaced twice even after expensive repairs. The worrisome part is that the web is filled with thousands upon thousands of similar complaints about this engine which is also in expeditions and crown victorias and probably other Ford vehicles.
The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. The contact stated that after accelerating at approximately 5 mph, the vehicle stalled as the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 59,000.
I have a 2007 f150 supercrew cab truck. I was driving down a parking lot when the truck made a huge grinding sound from the transmission. I then recieved a tranmisson malfuntion warning light. The truck slammed into a stop causing driver and passinger to be tossed forward. I have read online of several others having the same problems with the 2007 f150 tranmissions. Ford claims no defects on this model year. Yet on the internet there are several Ford owners with same transmission issues with truck. Ford needs to recall this transmission ASAP before someone gets hurt bad. I am the orginal ower with no accidents with truck. Truck is low mileage.
I was accelerating from a stop and vehicle shut off. I am 8mths pregnant and was stuck on the side of the road for over a 1/2 hour in -45 degree weather waiting for tow truck, because vehicle would not start. Mechanic looked at vehicle and found #9 fuse for fuel pump blown. Fuse replaced, and vehicle ran for 30seconds and electrical plug to driver control module began to smoke and melt. Driver control module and electrical plug replaced, and vehicle runs. I would have like to have been notified by Ford to avoid my stranded experience in -45 degree weather. This was a huge safety risk and it can be avoided. Ford should have located this device near the fuse box or under hood by fire wall plenty of room and same amount of wire.
The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 70 mph the vehicle begin to stall and shake. The contact pulled onto the side of the road. The contact shut the over drive function off and was able to continue driving. The contact stated the defect came from the power train. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or a local mechanic for a diagnostic test. The failure mileage was 55,522.
I was driving threw town last June & all the sudden my check engine light came on & truck started running really rough & acted like it was starving for gas or fire so I took my truck to a parts store & had code read it showed a miss fire @ #6 cylinder / spark plug it cost me almost $1,200 to get it fixed . That was for all 8 plugs & coils for really needs to fix there design flaw on the 4. 6l & 5. 4l engine there is no reason a vehicle should cost that much just to change plugs just cause they don't want to fix there mess up to make it more affordable to the public. They say till the NHTSA issues a recall they will ignore the problem with the spark plugs & all the issues that come with them since they changed the motors designs. Thank you conserned consumer/firefighter keith pruitt please take some action in this matter.
The vehicle gear shift can be moved at anytime without depressing the brake or the release button both when driving at 60 mph or the vehicle is parked in my yard. Easily a child can move the vehicle into gear and start it rolling or bring it to a dead stop while driving on the highway by just bumping into it. I contacted Ford and they were unwilling to help with this obvious safety issue. Which will now cost me over $800. 00 to fix. This amount seems excessive and I fear will keep many people who experience this dangerous problem from fixing it because the vehicle otherwise performs fine. I have contacted salvage companies who have stated that their price on this part is what it is because they can sell these parts all day indicating that this is a common problem. Ford will not recognize the defect in the vehicle. How long should a shifter lever last? I'm 48 yrs old, I have owned many vehicles some with many more miles than this one and I have never had an issue with this part. Hopefully you can persuade the Ford motor company to do the right thing and stand behind their products and institute a recall for this part.
Bought the t07 f150 at 28k and at 61k this happened. While driving at low gear 2nd the enging chugged a little ( lke an old diesal) took it to the dealer they said it was probably the small oil seal behind the cam. They was going to charge be 5600 for a new engine. They tried like he11 to get me to say I didnt have the oil changed regularly. I never backed down, then reminded them that I had bought the $2700. 00 extended warrenty (which I usually never did) they bauked and cried. Buy said that they would find another used engine, they called me and said that they found one for 3500 (or something like that) I began a long search online and found a rebuild for less and gave them the information. They decided to go with that. They ordered the engine and installed it ( well what do you know the replacement had the same prob) they had to pull that engine and get another from the company . Took an extra week and got the truck back its now at 100k and still runs well (so I know it wasnt my driving) so it had to be the incorrect placement of that seal from the dealer, which would leaked hot oil onto the engine and cause a fire. I looked at the origional paper work that they had to replace th origional wiring harness before it even left the factory.
The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph the electronic all wheel drive shifted from two wheels to four wheel drive independently. The contact stated that the two front tires locked up when the failure occurred. This caused the vehicle to slide to a stop. As a result of the failure, the drive train split in half. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileage was 50,000.
While driving at a 15 mph (1000 rpms) truck would knock and try to stall when coming to a stop and almost cause an accident. I would have to press the gas pedal to kept it from stalling or put into neutral and press the gas to keep it from stalling. Took it to Ford dealership on 4/24/2007 and they said that the cam phasers were the problem of my engine trying to stall. As I did my research online this seems to be a big problem with the 5. 4l 3 valve engines from Ford.
2007 f 150 king ranch spark plugs break when removing them (Ford cheap spark plug system). The truck also pull/tugs like if your transmission is missing however, I've been to the dealer multiple times for ignition coil issues. They said I need to change spark plugs. These spark plugs Ford said was to last 100,000 miles.
The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. The contact stated that sporadically, the gear shifter could not be moved out of park. The contact noticed aluminum shavings around the gear shifter and took the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer advised that the gear shifter would need to be replaced. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unavailable and the current mileage was 87,000.
Pickup would not stop at stop sign with the brake on. The rear wheels were spinning with the brakes on firmly. This has now happened twice and both times I threw the transmission into neutral to stop the malfunction. .
I have had three incidents of the engine surging/revving when in a stopped position engaged in drive gear and another one while in reverse. Each time I stepped on the brake with both feet to try to keep the vehicle from moving but it continued to lunge ahead anyway. I took it into the dealer. They said Ford had a fail-safe built in--that I was not in danger but they reprogrammed it with a computer. Seemed ok for awhile. Last night it happened again but reverse while I was backing up in a parking lot. I even had skid marks trying to stop it this time. Also, the transmission pauses/coasts before engaging into the next gear. I have an appointment to take it in for service, but I am concerned about the risks of having a collision, damaging property, or hurting someone--including myself if I end up hitting something. So far, when it has occurred, I was fortunate not to be in heavy traffic or tight quarters! I hope this can be remedied once and for all.

Pulling into the driveway of my home, the vehicle surged forward. I pushed on the brake pedal with both feet as hard as I could, but the vehicle continued to accelerate. The front tires locked, leaving skid marks on the concrete. The vehicle crashed into the front wall of the garage, breaking the wall, before stopping. My wife was standing in the garage at the time and witnessed the event.
After reading similar issues on mycarstats. Com, I figured I should enter mine too. Engine would suddenly race at very high rpm. My vehicle is a standard so I was able to negate acceleration by depressing clutch. This happened twice within 1 month period. The second time I took it to the dealer they indicated they were going to update chip with latest upgrade. When I picked up vehicle, I was informed that my vehicle had the latest upgrade and no action was taken. There has not been a repeat of this since though.
