1 Accelerator Pedal problem

Failure Date: 08/20/2008

I have a noise problem and have been to several dealers, when you hold the accelerator steady it makes a very loud hissing noise, when you let off the gas or get on it heavy it goes away, the dealer has replaced the intake manifold and the catalytic converter, we have test driven with the service manager a identical truck and it does not make the noise and trucks at work that are equivalent don't make the noise as well, the service advisor said it is not right however when an engineer came in he could not identify the problem and deemed it a characteristic of the vehicle, it did not start making the noise until it had approximately 4 to 5,000 miles on it and has gradually been getting worse. Ford customer service says they are not going to do anything further with this issue.
