The antilock brake system locked up causing me not to be able to stop the vehicle . The shift gear froze up . When I put my foot on the brake pedal it was frozen, I could not control the pedal also the shift level gear did not work presenting a safety hazard when I tried to put it in park. The sudden transmission downshift which was a safety recall happened there were no warning lamps or lights prior to this incident. The accident caused me to total my vehicle my safety was at risk I injured my leg, I filed a police report I also filed a claim with the Ford company which they quickly denied stating that the recall on the parts had expired I only had liability insurance and my truck was a total loss. I hope I'm still in the time frame to put in a claim.
3. 5l ecoboost timing chain failure at only 58,000 miles (code p0016 possible turbo problems tbd front suspension springs are broken. All of these are common threads on many forums. Fwiw, they completely redesigned the engine a few years later, but never notified anyone to watch out for these common problems or offer a recall.

While driving my 2012 F-150 I received a power steering warning light on the dashboard computer and the steering went out almost cause me to swerve into oncoming traffic. This happened without warning while my vehicle was in motion. The steering went out and I had to muscle the wheel to turn the vehicle.
Immediately following an oil change, my truck began making insanely loud grinding noises. I attempted to drive from knoxville to chattanooga and barely made it to cleveland. My truck stalled, started back up and I coasted into a parking lot. It would not go over 50. I then found a massive puddle of oil underneath where I parked. The truck was taken to jiffy lube.
When accelerating from a stop or slow roll, the truck will jerk hard feeling like the it is coming from the driveshaft. There is no common cause for this issue such as going over a bump, etc. Brought truck to the local Ford dealership and was told it was "leaf spring slap" which it is clear under the truck that there is deep grooves on the drive shaft, yoke area. Ford denies this is the issue. This happens 80% of the time that I accelerate either from a stop or slow movement.

My truck without warning just starts shaking violently and becomes hard to control. It has happened 10-12 times at various speeds and over different road surfaces. I have had the truck "fixed" two times. The problem continues and has become worse after the second "fix". Now not only does it shake violently it makes a grinding should too as it shakes. The dealership admits other Ford truck owners are having the same problem.
