Electronic Stability Control problem #1

Going 70 mph on the high way my truck is down shifting to a lower gear then looses power the rpm and the speedometer starts going hay wire jumping back and forth. Doing 40 mph it does the same thing and doesn't want to pick up speed. Took it to a Ford dealership and they reprogrammed the brain now the mph don't work no fuel notice it's blank.

Electronic Stability Control problem #2

Advance track service warning keeps popping up, turn signal will not work unless you turn car off and back on. This is a recuring problem as many Fords have the same issue. They should all be fixed as Ford is very aware of the problem I'm sure. This happens at random times, at start up or while driving. Not sure how long its been going on, I just bought the car and it was doing it.

Electronic Stability Control problem #3

Keep getting service advance track warning which disables turn signal, truck must be turned off and back on bur warning keeps coming back disabling turn signal. Through research this is very common and dangerous.

Electronic Stability Control problem #4

When I was backing my f150 out of my driveway I heard a loud squealing sound when I turned my steering wheel. This caused a stable trac light, a hill decent light, and a power steering light. I clicked on the ok button to clear all three faults on the dash because the truck seamed to working properly. As I drove to work a vehicle in front of me slammed on their breaks and when I went to react the power steering did not work. This is a very dangerous issue that could cause serious injury and or death to me and my kids. The power steering did come back and worked for a few days then it happened again when a car turned in front of me and when I swerved to miss a head on collision with my children in the truck the power steering failed yet again. I now have all three faults every time I start the truck and the power steering is completely out now. This condition is extremely dangerous if a younger person or someone that doesn't know what to do or have the physical strength to manually turn the vehicle when the power steering goes out without warning.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

I have a f150 4-wheel eco boost v6. I recently had my vehicle in for an oil change and at that time decided to have the recall done for the software update. The next few days I noticed that there was some hesitation with the gears shifting and the transmission at times would drop. I contacted the dealership to bring my truck back in at that time they could not find anything wrong but an oil pressure sensor. Some days later I was driving on the feeder road getting ready to enter the highway. As soon as I entered my speedometer stop working and the transmission dropped into 1st gear. There was a car behind me that almost collided with my truck. My family was in the car at the time and this could have been a serious accident. The next day I brought my truck back into the dealership and they did a quick diagnosis. They stated that I had transmission issues and that I needed to look into getting another vehicle through them and trading my truck out. I was upset by the response so I took my vehicle to a local transmission shop where they thoroughly inspected the truck. The findings were that the oss sensor was faulty and it pull up a p0270 code. The shop advised me that this was a warranty and safety issue and that I immediately take it back to the dealership to have it repaired. When I return to the dealership they at that time acknowledge that it was a warranty issue and could be fix, but they could not even look at it for 2-weeks and would not even provide a loaner after stating my safety concerns. I then contact Ford motor company and they could not assist until the dealership looked at my truck. I did state to them the time issue at the dealership but was told they have no control over what they do. I'm stuck with driving a unsafe vehicle for an issue outside of my control and no one at Ford is taking the matter seriously. This could cause a fatal or severe injury.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Ford raptor. The contact stated that with the active trac control disabled, and while going around a corner at approximately 10-15 mph in inclement weather, the rear wheel lost traction. The vehicle started to slide and the traction control independently actuated. The contact stated that the vehicle was almost to the point of leaving the roadway. The contact stated that active traction control, slowed the rear wheels to vehicle speed which made the vehicle uncontrollable. The vehicle was taken to woodhouse Ford, 2546 us-30, blair, ne 68008, (402) 426-4126, to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the vehicle operated as intended. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated tha the failure recurred three times. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000. Ah.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 10 mph, when depressing the accelerator pedal and failed to accelerate. The contact he heard an loud abnormal noise when trying to accelerate to more the 10 mhp. The contact stated powertrain fault warning light was illuminated and temp transmission was 180-190 degrees. The contact stated the vehicle at a different occasion has began to hesitated and turned off while driving. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was taken to user dealer where he has purchase the vehicle. The used dealer did not provided any repair services. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired as of yet. A dealer was not contacted. The contact VIN number was associated to NHTSA campaign number: 19v075000 (power train). The manufacturer has not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 102,000. Dp.

Electronic Stability Control problem #8

I was driving on the freeway in the fast lane. Suddenly the wrench warning light and check engine light came on, and the car experienced what appeared to be a total loss of engine power. I placed the hazard lights on and was able to navigate to the shoulder, with 18 wheelers and other cars trying to react to my sudden loss of power and speed. After turning the car off, and restarting it, it appears ok to proceed. This same incident has happened now 8 times in the last few days. I took the car into Ford and they are claiming it's an issue with the throttle body. I mentioned that I see a throttle body recall for 2015-2016 F-150's, but Ford is denying the issue, indicating there is no recall for my 2013. I find many complaints identical to mine for F-150's earlier than 2015. They also claim Ford denies the issue and refuses to fix the problem. Most also reference concern for a significant safety issue, feeling that Ford will only fix this once people die. I took my F-150 to the local Ford dealer today and they verified it was the throttle body, and are charging me $650 to fix it. I have read from others that the component used to fix the problem is the original faulty component, so there is no reason to feel that the problem will not happen again eventually. I have experienced four times on the freeway at 65mph, and several times on city streets at 30mph. I was driving straight, not braking.

Electronic Stability Control problem #9

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked hear a clicking noise emerging from the fuse box and inside the cabin. , the vehicle lost all electrical capabilities . The air bags warning indicator illuminated. The contact also stated that the failure occurred two other times. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for a diagnosis. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000. Bp.

Electronic Stability Control problem #10

Vehicle always in motion, appears to lose power, wrench light comes on, odometer has dash lines, speedometer falls to 0, and other mpg digital sensors, distance to empty sensor and air bag failure all happen simultaneously. Occasionally the truck seems to have power loss at lower speeds. Tachometer continues to work. A few times shutting ignition off and turning on again all goes back to normal. Recently had recall software upgrade completed but the problem occurred just 4 days later as I was turning onto freeway. Before the recall work was done I took vehicle to local shop I trust, there were multiple codes found. I had the service tech I had clear the codes. All incidents have occurred at speeds less than 30. All seem to be associated with loss of power and noise from transmission.

Electronic Stability Control problem #11

Truck's output speed sensor and harness failed while moving through an intersection and downshifted the vehicle into low gear almost causing an accident. Ford has a current recall on the software but not the sensor. Prior year vehicles also had the same recall and Ford replaced the sensor as customer satisfaction. See link: https://media. Ford. Electronic Stability Control problem #12

Vehicle stalls randomly while driving, no matter if it's on the highway or city streets. This is dangerous. It has been to the dealer 4 times. It's there now and they are unable to figure it out. Ford is aware of this problem and recalled the 2011 and 2012 and some 2013s. But not mine. This vehicle needs to be recalled. It's an accident waiting to happen. It left me stranded it rural colorado in a snow storm in 7 degree weather with my daughter. I did restart but that would have been really bad had it not.

Electronic Stability Control problem #13

Experienced common epas failure multiple times. Have experienced at high speeds, losing control of all steering. This issue has been well documented all over the internet, and is actually a recall in some Ford vehicles, including the 2014. But they have not issued a recall for the 2013. This is a major concern and safety issue. I've received this issue when vehicle gets wet from rain or car wash. And I've also experienced it when hitting a bump at both low speeds and high speeds. Such as a bridge deck seam on the freeway, pothole, rumble strips, gravel road washboard etc. When hitting these bumps, or when caused due to moisture, "service advance trac" message comes on dash, and all power steering is lost until vehicle is turned off and started again. Not only is this an extremely expensive fix, it is extremely dangerous, and could put a driver in a life and death situation. This needs to be recalled by Ford on all vehicles they manufactured with this epas system in it.

Electronic Stability Control problem #14

Loss of power steering while driving. In a parking lot, I was very fortunate I was not going down the road or in the middle of traffic. The truck is very hard to turn, and cannot be driven at this time until repaired.

Electronic Stability Control problem #15

Failing electronic steering gear in the electronic powered assist steering see. . Read more...

Electronic Stability Control problem #16

Ford F-150 prower steering assist failed resulting in a near death experience. Making a left in alameda on to high st. String failed and I slammed on my brakes to avoid going on to the curb. I was stuck in oncoming traffic while cars swerved around me.

Electronic Stability Control problem #17

Takata recall , the rear defrost does not work and it has happened to multiple people where the rear glass explodes. I have disconnected the cable connecting the rear defrost to stop it from heating up but it is a common issue on 2013 Ford F-150 trucks. If the cable connecting the rear defrost behind the driver side is disconnected the light for the rear defrost works and the side mirrors work but once connected again nothing works.

Electronic Stability Control problem #18

I took my truck into red mccombs Ford in san antonio, TX because I had issues with my transmission. I can be driving and it would rev up to 4k rpm without my foot on the acceleration. There are times when I'm driving and it drops into 1st and jars me when it bogs down. Took it in and we paid almost $1000 for repairs to fix it since I feared for my safety. It felt like I had no control of my vehicle. That was in sept 2018. . Here we are March 2019 having the same issues. I tried taking it in, but they did not have the offer of a loaner vehicle while they fixed again, so I have had no choice but to drive my truck still. I love my truck. . . But this is scary driving like this. I don't have a choice because I have to get to work daily. I need a reliable vehicle per I had major surgery last sept and have had 2 emergency room trips since and cannot afford to get in a wreck or have my truck go out with my health issues. I'm afraid all the jerking is going to cause me issues with my back and safety of my family. I have had to pull over and restart truck to get it to quit revving up, and not rear ending someone.

Electronic Stability Control problem #19

While driving engine continues running but suddenly discontinues movement of vehicle. After couple minutes with engine off vehicle will resume normal operation. Has happened twice, once on neighborhood street when turning corner and second time on freeway traveling about 60mph.

Electronic Stability Control problem #20

When turning into a curve a speed 20 mph and above the traction control light comes on and the van pulls hard to the left. Have taken it to the Ford dealer several times and was told that it is not putting any error codes into the computer and that they have no idea what is causing it. Van is very dangerous to drive.

Electronic Stability Control problem #21

The down hill decent light and traction control sensor are intermittent which affects the blinkers, the power locks on the doors and sometimes the traction control.

Electronic Stability Control problem #22

1/26/ it was 45 degrees this morning so I used the remote start (factory supplied on key remote) to get my truck running before leaving for work. As I walked outside (did not touch the truck), I heard a loud gunshot. Thinking something had fallen on the truck I looked up and it was not parked under anything. I walked around the truck to find that the drivers side panel of the back window was spidered. Again, I was not driving or parked under or around something that could have impacted my truck/window.

Electronic Stability Control problem #23

I have had the Ford truck death wobble, I barely missed a head on collision because of it. This has now happened several times, it starts unexpectedly when going 55 to 60 mph and hit a slight pump or unevenness on the road the front end of the truck goes into to a severe vibration and wobble that rapidly gets worse and make the truck uncontrollable and vary dangerous. The only way to stop the death wobble is to immediately slam on the breaks and come to a complete rapid stop. I cant believe this hasn't already been taken care of by Ford giving how many of us out here are experiencing this issue. When this truck goes into to this violent wobble it is vary difficult to control, I am a 240lb male and almost collided head on with an oncoming car, if my wife was driving this truck when this happened her and the people in the oncoming car would have most likely died!.

Electronic Stability Control problem #24

When backing up, my rearview sensor did not sound and we hit a palm tree, which damaged the tailgate, sensor (more than already). Normally, this backup sensor will sound when anything is in the way or even close. This did not happen.

Electronic Stability Control problem #25

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. While driving 25 mph and making a turn, the steering wheel seized and the advance track failure warning indicator illuminated. The contact was able to pull into a parking lot. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer. The local dealer (all star Ford, 2586 range park dr, denham springs, la, 70726) stated they would diagnose the vehicle and contact the owner back with the diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted or made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 42,000.

Electronic Stability Control problem #26

My "serive advance traction control" warning light comes on and prohibits my turn signals from working properly. I have taken to many shops none has figured out how to fix bout problem has been going on since August 2017.

Electronic Stability Control problem #27

While driving down the highway, the vehicle flashed service advance trac, down hill descent control fault, trailer brake module fail and a couple more codes. All electonics in vehicle went blank, including all controls/gauges. Before doing so, last code read, shift to park. Almost caused me to have an accident, because the power steering went out and nearly pulled me into another vehicle. The acceleration is bad too, feels like it is not firing all cylinders again. Have already taken in for a number of issues, including crankshaft sensor issues(was losing power to driveline); brakes locking up (have replaced the rotors and pads six times and last time I replaced both calibers as well; front axles and bearings replaced. As well as, blinkers no longer work. When the first issues arose, problems have continued since, like I said have taken it in at least 6 times to a dealer and once to an independent mechanic. At first the problems were covered by warrenty, now they are not, there is only 99,000miles on the truck and has been in shop at least 6 times and is only 4 yrs old. Not sure what to do, as the problems resemble recall issues, but dealership says they aren't part of any recalls. Concerned for my safety on the road. The truck is now not driveable!!!.

Electronic Stability Control problem #28

This has happened more than once driving on the highway 65 mph automatic transmission suddenly shifts into first gear all lights on rear end squelling, completely no control over vehicle, dangerous, dangerous.

Electronic Stability Control problem #29

While driving down the highway, the vehicle flashed service advance trac, down hill descent control fault, trailer brake module fail and a couple more codes. All electonics in vehicle went blank, including all controls/gauges. Before doing so, last code read, shift to park. Almost caused me to have an accident, because the power steering went out and nearly pulled me into another vehicle. The acceleration is bad too, feels like it is not firing all cylinders again. Have already taken in for a number of issues, including crankshaft sensor issues(was losing power to driveline); brakes locking up (have replaced the rotors and pads six times and last time I replaced both calibers as well; power steering has been replaced once before, front axles and bearings replaced. As well as, ac problems. When the first issues arose, I was told by service tech at dealership I needed a new engine, (later he completely denied telling me this) instead they fixed some things and gave it back to me. Problems have continued since, like I said have taken it in at least 6 times to a dealer and once to an independent mechanic. At first the problems were covered by warrenty, now they are not, there is only 78,000miles on the truck and has been in shop at least 6 times and is only 4 yrs old. Not sure what to do, as the problems resemble recall issues, but dealership says they aren't part of any recalls. Concerned for my safety on the road.

Electronic Stability Control problem #30

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Ford f150. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph, that he lost all power where the vehicle stalled, without warning. The vehicle was able to restart on the first attempt. In addition, once the vehicle restarted while driving the speedometer does not accelerate, and the wrench warning sensor illuminated. The vehicle has not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 29,000.

Electronic Stability Control problem #31

I bought my truck new from the dealer 2013. I¿m consistent with all the up keeps of my truck. However, mid August 2016, I noticed the truck hesitated to start at the beginning while in stationary position for a few days, then out of nowhere from one day to the next, the engine didn¿t start in the morning again while in stationary position and then the engine light came up! I bought a new battery thinking that maybe it needed to be replaced, even with the new battery the truck failed to start in stationary. After that, I tried starting my truck for two consecutive days, by the third day the truck started! I drove it immediately to autozone but nothing came up wrong with it? so, I drove it back home. A week later, I had no problems with the truck, like nothing ever happen. Then, yesterday all of a sudden I was driving home, while in motion the engine died in the middle of traffic on a city street, so I pulled over to the side of the road and immediately attempted to restart the truck as it continued to hesitate. Finally, after 10 minutes the truck started and I drove to autozone and again nothing came up wrong with it. So I drove it back home. Then, today, which is September 2, 2016 while the truck is stationary it failed to start and the engine light, came up again. Something is wrong with this truck! I don¿t feel safe to drive in fear that my truck will stop working while in motion and cause an accident. I can get stranded anywhere at anytime.

Electronic Stability Control problem #32

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that when the ignition was turned to the on position, the vehicle did not start. The contact observed that the connector detached from the positive side of the battery post. After several attempts the vehicle did restart. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The maufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage approximately 36,500. Sg.

Electronic Stability Control problem #33

I went to pass a slow moving vehicle and only had a short distance to pass. I pressed down hard on the accelerator, the engine shutdown, truck was coasting, and the orange traction slip light came on. Then the engine came back on and I was able to finish passing. This was in carlsbad, nm. I took it to the local Ford dealer they said there nothing showed on their diagnostic computer, but they did try to charge me $150 labor. I refused to pay, because this is a new truck and the incident happened twice driving into carlsbad. I have tried to duplicate the incident once since, but the engine did not shutdown.
