My drivers side door just all of a unlatched (while driving) and now will not latch shut. This is definitely a safety issue.

2 Door Latch problem

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the passenger’s side door failed to lock as intended. The contact stated that the door occasionally opened without driver input. The driver's side front door failed to lock. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was related to TSB: 15-0052. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the latches and locks needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 139,000.

3 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 08/18/2021

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that he was unable to lock or unlock the front driver’s or front passenger’s side door using the key fob, or the power master door lock switch. The contact stated that he noticed that water was leaking through the front driver’s and passenger’s side door and the bottom of the doors and floorboard would be wet. The contact also stated that the hood latch warning light would frequently indicate that the hood latch was opened while it was closed. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

4 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 10/28/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving at unknown speeds, the interior lighting and rear passenger side door ajar warning indicator illuminated. Additionally, the rear dome light was illuminated. The contact called mills Ford Lincoln (14858 dellwood dr, baxter, mn 56425, (877) 825-3956) and was informed to schedule a service appointment. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not covered under a warranty and referred the contact to NHTSA. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 78,000.

5 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 02/19/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving 65 mph, the driver's door opened without warning. Gullo Ford in conroe, texas was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was previously recalled per NHTSA campaign number: 17v652000 (latches/locks/linkages). The manufacturer stated that the damages done to the vehicle due to the door opening while driving, were not covered by the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

6 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 10/16/2017

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 17v652000 (latches/locks/linkages) and 18v568000 (seat belts, structure). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. Maxwell Ford (5000 south ih 35 frontage road, austin, texas 78745, (512) 443-5000) was made aware of the recalls in December of 2017 and stated that parts were unavailable. The contact stated that the front passenger side door remained open on several occasions after the door was closed with force. The contact also stated that the front passenger door failed to latch. The contact repeatedly closed the door in an attempt to correct the failure. In addition, the front passenger door opened while driving various speeds. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 44,500. Parts distribution disconnect.

7 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2016

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While the vehicle was parked, the rear driver's side door lock disengaged and failed to re-engage. Additionally, all the locks on the vehicle failed to disengage even when the key was inserted. The failure recurred multiple times on all the door locks. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the door latch assemblies failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 6,000.

8 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2016

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. During cold weather, the door mechanism froze and caused the door locks to malfunction. The contact indicated that the doors would not remain locked. On two separate occasions, the driver side door erroneously opened while driving. The dealer diagnosed that there was a TSB for the failure, but the parts were not available to repair the vehicle. The TSB information was not available. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 11,000.

9 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2016

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle alarm unexpectedly sounded and the door ajar warning indicator illuminated. The contact mentioned that the doors have to be unlocked and then locked again for the alarm to go off. The vehicle was taken to murray's Ford Lincoln (3007 blinker pkwy, dubois, PA 15801, (800) 371-6601) and repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 17v652000 (latches/locks/linkages). The repair failed to remedy the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,000.
