36 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 01/09/2020

While trying to pass a dump truck on the interstate with adaptive cruise on, vehicle slammed on the brakes, and causing the vehicle behind me to slam on theirs to avoid hitting me. . I noticed that there had been a recall for this before in 2015, but I never received any notice of this. . It is a very serious road hazard!!.

37 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 10/22/2019

Driving down the road today being mindful of the speed limit since I just got a speeding ticket two weeks prior. I looked at the speedometer and it read 62. I know the difference I speed variation just from driver feeling and experience. Well I applied the brakes and the speedometer did not move. When I reached my destination I put the car in park and noticed my speedometer was frozen at 40 mph. So now according to the trucks brain 40 mph = 0 mph.

38 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 10/18/2019

Vehicle accelerated of its own accord driving straight on highway. Took to dealer (village Ford, ocala, FL), they ran black box and did warranty work. A few weeks later, vehicle accelerated again of its own accord while attempting to slow down to make a left turn. Vehicle collided into a tree.

39 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 08/16/2019

Alert - alert I wrote before about trouble with the 2015 Ford f150 stalling out while driving. I mechanic took ours out for a test drive and it did the same for him on the interstate. Please have someone address this issue before someone dies or has severe injuries due to vehicle stalling at random and for no apparent reason. I am just glad he wasn't passing on a 2 lane road or pulling a trailer. I can't believe Ford has not addressed this - it's on you tube. This is the opposite of speeding up - imagine you have your kids, etc in the truck, in the middle of a major interstate with cars all around you and you stall out completely. Please, please do something about this. It only happens in motion.

40 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 07/23/2019

Randomly the hill start assist control error would come up. Additionally, service advance trac error would come up and the truck would go into some sort of limp mode with no acceleration allowed. Finally, the truck started running really rough. All these things would happen while I was in motion and or turning. I have been broken down on the side of the highway 4 separate times now. Everything is really random and can't be replicated. It's done this about 10 times now and the dealer has no idea how to fix it. My truck has been there for over a week with no remedy.

41 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 07/19/2019

This is the second time the engine just seized on me while driving in motion, on the interstate, at a high rate of speed and I would have to change the gear to keep it from stalling! this is a serious safety issue. I am taking it in for service at autonation Ford in sanford FL, again today!.

42 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 07/12/2019

Driving on highway at 60 mph, climbing slight incline, multiple warnings regarding hill assist, abs, traction control, etc. Populate on dash. Truck goes in to "limp" mode, steering becomes stiff and speed reduces until it comes to a rough idle.

43 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 06/20/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle's throttle completely failed and several unknown warning indicators illuminated. The contact was able to coast the vehicle to the side of the road and restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to holmes tuttle Ford Lincoln (660 w auto mall dr, tucson, az 85705, (866) 930-6255) where it was diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 79,500.

44 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 05/18/2019

When I started the car, put it in drive, the truck went to full throttle on its own without touching the accelerator, and it took off at an excessive speed. I tried braking, but it just threw me into a power slide. So, once I was finally able to straighten the car without flipping it, I could turn loose with one hand and kill the engine. That's the only way it would stop. I was forced to go through the yard with things flying out of the bed of the truck ruining a 5 gallon can of paint we had mixed to paint the inside of the house. I am a professional truck driver, and this scared the death out of me.

45 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 04/28/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle stalled and the engine would not restart. The contact attempted to restart the engine; however, the vehicle began shaking and would not stop. Also, hill descent control fault and service advancetrac" appeared on the instrument panel. The vehicle was towed to paducah Ford (3476 park Ave, paducah, ky 42001, (270) 444-0011) where it was diagnosed that a new throttle body needed to be installed. The contact planned to have the vehicle repaired this week. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was 104,000.

46 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 03/13/2019

My 2015 f150 ecoboost has 79,156 miles on it. Over the past 3 days the truck has repeatedly lost power while driving in traffic on the highway. The rpm will drop down to 500 rpm, rough idle, no acceleration at all, hill assist light wrench light check engine light passenger air bag light and see owners manual pop up on the instrument panel. Took my truck into Ford today and they replaced the throttle body under my extende warranty not their emissions warranty as stated in their owners manual of 8 years or 80,000 miles. Called Ford and they don't know about an emissions warranty in their owners manual. Looked online and youtube to discover this problem is not just me and frequent with others. This can really cause a horrible accident. Luckily I'm a cdl driver and was able to safely get over on the shoulder this time. I'm not confident replacing the throttle body was a fix as it is a bandage to happen again at any point in time. This truck now is compromised and I wouldn't want any of my family using it or depending on it.

47 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 02/23/2019

2015 F-150 3. 5l ecoboost driving on highway at speeds 60-75mph went to "limp mode" losing all acceleration with warnings "service advance trac" "hill descent control fault" and "hill start assist not available" along with the service wrench light. Resulted having to pull over on interstate 10 with busy traffic, also while in the middle of a traffic light turning left. This has happened 6 times. Ford dealer has diagnosed this as a throttle body issue and will be replaced at my cost.

48 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 02/15/2019

My Ford truck has had issues with lurching while at a stop, hard downshifts. And as of Friday night, going from 75 mph on the interstate to a dead standstill as though my transmission locked up. Almost created a pileup on interstate 70. Then would have rpm btwn 5 to 8 going 20 mph. 2015 model v8 with ecoboost. My year was not part of the recall announced but the symptoms described in that recall fit mine exactly. I am going to file a complaint with Ford as well.

49 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2019

Speedometer reads 15 mph when parked and 15 mph more than actual while vehicle is in motion.

50 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 02/02/2019

I was travelling along at highway speed and suddenly the truck lost responsiveness to the accelerator pedal and went into limp mode. I had to move over to the shoulder of the road rapidly to avoid becoming a hazard to other drivers as my speed was slowing significantly. This has happened on several occasions on both surface streets and on highways/freeways. I have been told that the electronic throttle body is faulty. This fault has created a hazard for me and other drivers due to the sudden loss of power and the hazard that represents on roads with no shoulder.

51 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving 35 mph, the vehicle lost acceleration and lunged forward. In addition, the traction control and hillside assist warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and was restarted. Tamiami Ford (1471 airport-pulling rd, naples, FL 34104, (239) 643-3673) repaired the electric throttle body. The vehicle was repaired. The diagnosis information was unavailable. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 38,000.

52 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2019

P2112 obd error code - throttle body closed - while driving at any speed - in this case on the highway - engine would drop to limp mode, various errors display on dash. Have to pull over, shut off engine, then restart it to reset. Know issue with numerous Ford f150 ecoboost and mustang gas engines. This is very dangerous especially if I cannot pull off to the side to shut off the motor. Very high possibility of getting rear-ended by other fast moving cars potentially causing harm to driver and others.

53 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 12/11/2018

Was driving on road with 35mph speed limit, looked down at speedometer and said I was going 85, ever since the speedometer is stuck between 35 and 95, when stopped it lays at 35-40mph. Have read many others with similar issues.

54 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 10/31/2018

Truck goes into limp mode constant in middle of traffic. Severe safety hazard for all. Throws throttle body code. According to dealer its not covered in yhe recall or whatever Ford called it but its gonna get us killed.

55 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2018

2015 Ford F-150 ecoboost, bought April 2018 with approx. 67,000 miles, currently at approx. 75,000 miles. I am reporting the sudden loss of accelerating power as the vehicle shudders and stalls both when moving with traffic or accelerating to enter or move with traffic. Multiple warning messages including the wrench light flash in the dash message area as the engine slows to idle with no ability to accelerate and comes to a stuttering stop. The first occurrence was three weeks ago and has happened no less than six time since - twice while accelerating onto the freeway (very busy, very fast traffic) and twice while crossing or turning in multi-lane intersections from stopped. Four of the six times resulted in my vehicle dying in and obstructing traffic with and me barely getting to the side of the road without an accident. I now shift to neutral to let momentum move the vehicle as I worm through traffic to the side of the road. Shutting off and restarting the engine clears or resets the message and sometimes "downhill assist not available" with the check engine light comes on. The check engine light has both stayed on or shut off on restart. I can then drive on the vehicle's own power, though the problem has repeated as soon as two minutes later, or not for days. I have not had to be towed and no accidents have occurred. The north carolina consumer's council filed a lawsuit against Ford in 2015 which was settled with Ford offering an extended warranty only on the etb (electronic throttle body) of certain model vehicles - all with the ecoboost engine, and multiple customer service actions (csa's) that have since expired. A few minutes on the Ford forums online and it is apparent that this is a widespread problem with the ecoboost engine, and Ford has offered several bandaids, but none until after the etb has failed and lives been endangered.

57 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 07/26/2018

The electronic throttle body failed prematurely on my Ford f150, causing the vehicle to lose the ability to accelerate and subsequently go into limp mode while traveling at normal speeds (has happened 4 times between 35 and 50 mph). This causes a very dangerous situation trying to get out of traffic and to the side of the road, as well as potential loss of control and handling. A Ford dealer attempted to diagnose the problem after 3 incidents, but was unsuccessful and told me the problem may be the throttle body (but they did not replace it).

58 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 06/27/2018

At times my 2015 f150 loses all power and go to a low power/ "limp mode" setting. Cautions received are (1) service advance trac, (2) hill descent control fault, (3) hill start assist not avail, (4) traaction control fault light. When this occurs, the vehicle goes to a very low forward power setting (<5mph), runs extremely rough to the point where the vehicle shakes aggressively. This problem is intermittent in nature, and yesterday was the final straw. This suddent oss of power occurred on a busy road and I nearly got rear ended. I immediately limped off the road and was able to get the vehicle towed to the dealership in castle rock, CO. Currently I'm standing by for the mechanics diagnosis. Of note, I do see several similar write-ups of this problem on the NHTSA site regarding the 2015 f150. Ironically, a similar occurrence (ref. Nhstsa id#11083485) happened right up the road from me in castle rock, CO (4/5/18). I hope Ford is aware of this extremely dangerous, recurring problem within its f150 fleet.

59 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 05/16/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving unknown speeds, the vehicle stalled. When the vehicle was shut off and restarted, it operated normally. The failure occurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to billion auto Ford of clear lake (3101 willow creek CT, clear lake, IA 50428, (641) 903-2299) where it was diagnosed that the throttle body and motor assembly failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 84,129.

60 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 05/10/2018

Driving on the inside lane on a straight road with no vehicles in front of me. Halfway past passing a medium size box truck in the outside lane my truck flashed collision avoidance and slammed on the brakes for one second. It immediately released and sped up to where I had the cruise previously set at 65 mph. Ford dealer said they applied the factory computer reset 30 months earlier while owned by the original buyer. Recall # 15s29. Dealer said he could do nothing more.

61 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2018

Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Ford f-350. The contact stated that while driving 70 mph the vehicle shakes and was uncontrollable. The contact had to slow the vehicle to 30 mph. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer rowe westbrook 91 main st, westbrook, me 04092 (207) 854-2555 where informed that the sway bar needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 24,856. Ap.

62 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 12/11/2017

My truck odometer shows I have 26582 miles on the truck. And the engine hours shows I have 867 hours. However rusty wallace service department said I have 63000 miles according to the pcm!!! I have transmission problems and they do not want to fix the truck under warranty. I content that the truck is still under warranty I have not done anything to the odometer. I have pictures that show I was doing 72 miles a hour and on the digital speedometer but the other speedometer showed I was doing 90 miles a hour. I parked the truck and it stilled showed I was doing 20 mph. I have attached the photos.

63 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 11/27/2017

I would like to highlight safety concern on Ford F-150 intake throttle failures. I believe there has been a recall on this part for a different s/n range of Ford F-150. this VIN was not in the list. when this fails, you lose all power and truck goes into neutral. was towing loaded trailer in 4 lanes of high speed interstate city driving. almost was in serious accident. Ford customer service did nothing or indicate that they were going to look at s/n range impacted. I am a chief engineer at caterpillar. I understand the business of effective s/n and what is included in mandatory recalls. their lack of action is a concern.

64 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 11/23/2017

While driving my 2015 Ford F-150 pickup truck at different speeds of 5 to 70 mph the vehicles throttle becomes inoperable. When this occurs the engine continues to run at a low idle however it is a very rough idle as if the engine has a severe ignition misfire condition. Furthermore, the dash starts to cycle through multiple fault/trouble displays. These include "hill descent control fault", "service advance track", "see manual (w/ wrench symbol)"; also the airbag light is illuminated. When this occurs I have to coast to the side of the freeway or busy city street bringing the vehicle to a stop. Once stopped, with emergency flashers on, I have to turn the ignition off and restart the vehicle. In some instances I've had to restart the vehicle more than once to successfully achieve a smooth running engine. I must then press the "ok" button on the steering wheel to stop the dash from displaying the fault/trouble messages. I can then drive on with an operable throttle and properly running engine. This condition has happened multiple times at various speeds without warning and presents a potentially dangerous driving condition!.

65 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 11/09/2017

While accelerating onto the freeway from the on-ramp, all throttle control went away and the truck started decelerating along with warning lamps turning on the driver display panel. Steep hill descent fault, sensortrac fault. Had to pull coast over to the shoulder under rough idle and turn off the vehicle ignition. After cycling the ignition, the throttle control came back. This has happened at least 5 times now during the last week or so. After a google search online, I have found that this seems to be a very common occurance with Ford F-150's and seems to be related to the electronic throttle body controller. Ford has TSB 16-0139 documenting the issue.

66 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 10/02/2017

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle suddenly decelerated and would not gain speed when the accelerator pedal was depressed. During the failure, the messages and warning indicators for the hill start not available, traction control, and check engine displayed and illuminated. After shutting the engine off and back on, the vehicle operated normally; however, the failure recurred two days later. The vehicle was taken to jemmims anderson Ford in boerne, TX where it was diagnosed that the throttle body was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 47,000.

67 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 08/14/2017

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving 80 mph, the vehicle shook violently and lost power. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the electronic throttle body failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to team Ford Lincoln (5445 drexel rd, las vegas, nv 89130) where the diagnosis was confirmed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the contact should keep his receipts in case of potential reimbursement. The approximate failure mileage was 79,000.

68 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 05/24/2017

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While making a right turn at a stop sign, the vehicle experienced stalling, a loss of engine power, and severe vibration. All of the vehicle's warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to folsom lake Ford where it was diagnosed that the throttle body caused the vehicle to go into limp home mode and would need to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the vehicle experienced a leaking driver side turbo and a blown solenoid. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and started the process of vehicle buy back. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.

69 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 04/04/2017

I received a recall notice, 15s29, to reprogram my F-150's control system to correct an adaptive cruse control issue. I had this recall work performed by my Ford dealership in March, 2017. I was on a road trip this week (4-4-2017) and was traveling on the I-35 interstate at 75 mph passing a semi. About half way passed the semi the brakes were suddenly applied and the warning flasher (on the windshield) activated. I thought this was fixed!! thankfully the vehicle behind me was able to brake to avoid a rear collision. Is there still an issue with this? if so when will it be fixed?.

70 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 10/28/2016

On Friday 10/28 while driving down the interstate at about 55 miles/hour at approximately 6:30pm with vehicles ahead of and behind my truck, the vehicle began to give a number of check engine alerts, at which time the engine rpms dropped to very low levels and began to stall and the accelerator no longer responded. Had truck towed to the nearest dealership within the hour. I was very lucky in this situation, for had I been in a construction area or on a bridge, the situation could have been much worse. This same situation occurred on the evening of 10/2 while driving 40mph down a state road near my home and according to the dealer who attended to the issue, the brake module had failed which caused the symptoms to arise. In that instance, the accelerate failed to respond and the engine began to stall, which it did when I pulled to the side of the road. They replaced the module a few days later. In addition, the driver side door vibrates and does not latch properly. Two dealers have failed to resolve this issue to date and I believe it is a safety concern that has largely been dismissed by the service technicians and dealerships involved. Despite numerous documented attempts to resolve this issue with Ford customer service, they have ignored this concern, have failed to respond to me in a timely manner, and declined a buyback request. I am submitting lemon law documentation for the vehicle during the week of October 31. I have spent hundreds of dollars on rental vehicles during attempted repairs to the doors and the brake module since Ford claims they will not cover the cost of rental vehicles during warranty repairs. Repair documentation attached pertains to repairs for 10/2 occurrence since the dealership has not yet had an opportunity to inspect my vehicle since it was dropped off yesterday evening. I will gladly provide info once received.
