The right rear light underneath the brake light caught fire and exploded.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated that water was dripping from the grab handles and dome lamps were filled with water. While driving at unknown speed, the vehicle stalled. All the warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed there was a water leak and fried the computer system. The mechanic informed him the drain tubes were not hooked up. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer, who determined the drain tube was clogged. While driving in the rain, the headliner was stained and getting wet. The vehicle was taken to a body shop, who determined that water was leaking into the vehicle between the sunroof and panel. The manufacturer was contacted, who referred to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
