The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the cam phasers, the timing chain and other unknown parts were replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact related the failure to Ford campaign number: 21n03. The manufacturer was contacted and advised the contact that the vehicle was not covered due to the manufacture plant. Additionally, the contact stated that the front passenger's side door and the rear passenger's side and driver's side doors had failed to unlock. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the failure was related to an unknown recall. An appointment was scheduled for repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. 2 Door Latch problem

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle and attempting to close the front driver's side and passenger's side doors on a freezing day or in cold weather, the doors failed to close securely. The contact stated that the doors closed as needed after the vehicle had warmed up. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front driver's side door suddenly opened, which required the contact to manually hold the door closed while driving. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under Ford campaign number: 18n03 unless the failure was duplicated. 3 Door Latch problem

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the contact stated that the front driver’s side and passenger’s side doors and the rear passenger’s side door of the vehicle failed to close. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was repaired under an unknown recall. However, the failure reoccurred on the rear passenger’s side door a year later. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that he would be charged a diagnostic tests and repair fee. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. It was freezing temperatures outside and went to shut my door and would not latch. I then tried other doors and encountered the same problem. Door latches or locks must have been frozen and not operating correctly.

5 Door Latch problem

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated that all four door latches ceased, causing a failure to latch the doors securely. The contact also stated that the doors would open inadvertently while driving. 6 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. When the contact's wife entered the vehicle, the front driver's door would not latch/shut. The contact stated that the same failure occurred with their 2017 Ford F-150. The contact backed the vehicle into the sunlight, waited fifteen minutes, and was able to latch and close the driver's door. The contact took the vehicle to nick nicholas Ford inc (2901 FL-44, inverness, FL 34453, 352-726-1231) where it was determined that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 17v652000 (latches/locks/linkages), although his 2017 F-150 was included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided the same information as the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 9,000.

7 Door Latch problem

Tl the contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated that when the air conditioning was activated on the low setting, the doors did not latch. Failure Date: 01/01/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. While operating the vehicle in cold weather, the front driver and passenger doors would not remain latched and secured.
