The contact also stated that the instrument panel was showing the incorrect gear. The contact stated that the failure ceased when the vehicle was turned off. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic however, no failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
