Right door lock actuator/latch not able to lock or unlock. Similar to current recall for f150 raptors same generation model but 1-4 years older.

2 Body problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2024

My 2020 Ford truck driver side door locks freeze when temperatures get below freezing. When this happens the door does not open and when I open it from the inside the door doesn’t latch. I have to use a bungee cord to hold the door closed if I’m going to use the vehicle. Also the rest of the doors don’t lock when driving the vehicle. I believe other year Ford trucks have had this issue and they also were recalled for a fix. I have had the truck to the dealer several times with no luck. The last time when the truck was under warranty they replaced the door lock actuator which didn’t help. I believe this is very much a safety issue and I shouldn’t even be driving this truck but I need it.

On [xxx] I took the truck to Ford dealer after noticing the front floor passenger side carpet was wet and door locks and electronic tire pressure indicator failed to operate correctly. Ford service dept found a/c drain was letting water back into passenger compartment and caused body control module (bcm) failure. Bcm was replaced after 2 1/2 months in the service dept. Returned on 8/26/24, 9/18/24, and 10/22/24 for same water intrusion problem. Different repair done on 10/22/24 to remedy problem. Service dept contacted Ford national office and learned this was considered a design flaw by Ford. Expected a recall will be issued. Remedial treatment for mold was applied because I had been smelling a vinegar smell in the truck cab which is typical smell for presence of mold. This is the primary safety issue I believe exists, but failure of body control module could cause other safety problems. . No recall issued yet.

Drivers side door does not unlock in cold temperatures (physical key, fob button, keypad, and handle lock do not work). To unlock I have to enter through the passenger side door and use the interior handle. Seems to be an ongoing issue and there are "recalls/TSB" for the same issue happening on 2015-2019, 2021-22 models but not 2020. "the major frozen door latch recalls (such as 17s33) officially covered 2015-2019 F-150s and other super duty trucks. " reddit forums are full of others complaining of the same issues. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? - driver side door handle. Yes how was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - must enter through the passenger side door to unlock the vehicle. In an emergency I would not be able to enter my vehicle quickly. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? no. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? no.

The sunroof will leak through both the rear passanger seatbelt assembly which could damage the integrity of the seatbelt and/or seatbelt mount. Additionally, water will come out of the microphone/sunroof controls above the driver, which can cause the driver to become distracted and/or momentarily visually impaired. There are multiple posts in forums about this issue and I think it should be addressed by the NHTSA.

The power tailgate opened and dropped down, on its own, while driving the truck, approximately 45mph.

8 Body problem

The tail gate lowered on its own while we were driving down a high way and towing our camper. It dented the propane tanks and shifted the hitch system in addition to totaling the tail gate.

9 Body problem

Failure Date: 04/28/2021

Purchased my f150 new and from the dealer and the frame was oil sprayed to prevent corrosion and rust before taking the vehicle home. Truck now sits just under 8,000mi and the rear axle and a good portion of fasteners are all rusty as if the truck is 15yrs old. The skid plate under the transfer case looks like it may have been zinc plated from the factory but now it's all pitted and corroded and does not look like a new truck. I can't hardly believe that after such a short time the underside looks like this as if there was no paint applied to anything at the factory. This issue needs to be taken care of and fixed by Ford.

10 Body problem

Failure Date: 03/21/2021

I was involved in an accident in my new Ford F-150 king ranch on the above date traveling on the henry hudson parkway (manhattan) southbound. My truck was struck in the rear passenger door by an unknown vehicle and caused us to spin out 2 times at 60 mph and hit the center concrete divider almost directly head on. We hit to the passenger side of the front of the truck. . The airbags didn't deploy. The canisters on the side impact airbags opened and the powder was all over but the bags didn't deploy. I don't think this was normal and I feel it should be looked at. There was $31,000 damage to the vehicle which wasn't totaled. Is this something that this agency will look into for me? respectfully submitted, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Ford team, on Sunday, January 24th I had a major safety malfunction with my 2020 F-150 I bought this past summer in menomonie WI. Description on the incident: I pulled my truck out of my garage to pull my atv trailer out. Once the trailer was pulled out, I started my truck back up and proceeded to pull it back into the garage. While coasting in, I press the brakes to stop the truck and the abs kicked in at the rear tires kept driving my truck forward. I ended up slamming into my work bench which is attached to my back wall. I remember looking down at my pedal and wondering why the truck was still driving forward when the brakes were pressed. I have pulled into my garage hundreds of times and this time was no different. I know what the abs feels like and this was not the case. The truck tried to out power the abs and didn't stop until I hit. I hit so hard that the garage shook and items were falling off my shelves. The amount of damage I incurred would not have happened if I was just coasting into the bench. Talking to a CO-worker he stated this had happened to his dad in the past and said there might be an error in the code, something to do with it still being in high idle and the abs kicked in. If this error cannot be diagnosed I'm not sure I feel safe driving this truck anymore. Makes me sick to my stomach to think what would have happened if one of my kids were in front of me. Please trouble-shoot this issue and follow up with the cause and how much damage as been done. Thank you, aaron kowalczyk 28322 county highway o cadott WI 54727 (715) 703-0393.
