2 Instrument Cluster/panel problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2022

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated while his wife was driving approximately 45 mph, the instrument cluster and the navigation screen went black. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing to reprogram the electronic system. The vehicle was repaired but experienced the failure for a second time. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer, but the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.

3 Instrument Cluster/panel problem

Failure Date: 02/18/2022

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 40 mph at night, the instrument panel light turned off intermittently. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that an unknown software needed to be updated; however, the dealer informed the contact that the manufacturer advised that the remedy for repair was not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 2,700.

4 Instrument Cluster/panel problem

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 mph, the digital instrument cluster would inadvertently turn off and on, causing the speedometer and warning lights to become inoperable. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 233.
