I have repeatedly received an error on my vehicle dashboard stating " 1 pedal drive fault: press break pedal to reduce speed". I have taken my vehicle to the dealer twice for this and was told both times that it was not reproducible and therefore nothing that could be fixed. I was told there was an active recall and that it has been repaired. Today after coming to a complete stop I let go of the break and the vehicle suddenly forcefully lurched forward without me stepping on the accelerator almost resulting in an accident. After looking up the information online it seems other drivers have experienced this too and I was never warned about this by the dealer or its potential safety implications. I feel unsafe. I have a video but was unable to upload to due its size.

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a safety-related issue with my 2025 Ford F-150, 5. 0, that began immediately following recent recall service on the brake booster system. Since the recall work was completed, the abs system has been producing a loud electrical rattling or grinding noise during vehicle takeoff. This noise is consistent and occurs at low speeds when accelerating from a stop. Prior to the recall service, this issue was not present. Given that this problem appears to be directly related to the anti-lock braking system, I am concerned about the safety and reliability of my vehicle. The abs system is critical for maintaining control and braking performance, and any malfunction or abnormal behavior raises serious concerns about potential failure or degraded performance. Please treat this matter with urgency, as it involves a critical safety system. I expect prompt resolution and clear communication regarding the findings and corrective actions.

While driving slowly in a traffic queue, the driver applied the brakes to stop behind the vehicle ahead. The abs activated unexpectedly, causing the truck to lurch/jump forward instead of stopping smoothly. The driver was forced to steer left to avoid a collision, but the vehicle ultimately struck the car in front, damaging the left front of the truck. No injuries occurred. This is not the first time this behavior has been observed in this vehicle, and the vehicle had previously been inspected by an authorized Ford dealership for similar braking behavior without resolution. The incident occurred at low speed in stop-and-go traffic conditions. The vehicle is currently at a Ford dealership for repair related to this incident.

While backing at low speed in a residential driveway, the vehicle struck a parked car causing significant damage. No adas safety systems activated: reverse automatic braking did not engage, no parking sensor warnings sounded, no audible or visual alerts occurred. The vehicle made no attempt to slow or stop despite approaching a large stationary obstacle. The vehicle has two open unrepaired recalls at the time of incident: recall 25v488 (electronic brake booster): ebb module may shut off unexpectedly during adas use. The ebb is integral to the electronic braking system adas relies on to autonomously apply brakes. If faulted, reverse automatic braking cannot engage regardless of sensor detection. Software fix was available but never applied. Ford documented 37 warranty claims and one crash before issuing this recall. Recall 25v863 (integrated park module): may fail to lock into park. Remedy not yet available. The vehicle provided zero warning of degraded safety capability. No dashboard indicators or alerts that adas was unavailable. Multiple overlapping systems failed simultaneously suggesting cascading failure from the ebb fault or multiple independent defects. Ford ssms 52161, 49767, and 50360 document known lightning issues with inoperative park aid and reverse brake assist unavailability. The recall notice emphasizes brake pedal feel but does not clearly communicate that the defect can disable automatic emergency braking. Consumers may delay repair not realizing adas is compromised. Vehicle is available for inspection.

Wednesday [xxx]/phantom braking proceeding northbound on [xxx] at estimated speed of 35 mph. Road was clear with no oncoming traffic. Suddenly the brakes locked up and a collision notice appeared on dash. Brakes released and continued northbound with no further issues. The contact owns a 2025 Ford F-150 used for hauling a 2021 little guy max. The contact stated that while driving up a steep hill at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle accelerated inadvertently, and when the brake was depressed, the vehicle failed to slow down as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle then stopped accelerating with an unknown " braking" message displayed. The vehicle was then driven approximately 40 miles and then parked. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,500.

The contact owns a 2025 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving on the interstate and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle lost braking functionality. The brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard. The abs warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined there was a computer fault. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred approximately 6,100 miles later. While driving 65 mph, the brakes became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, lebanon Ford parts & accessories, lebanon Ford service center (770 columbus Ave, lebanon, OH 45036); but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.

Parking break fault warning light service now light comes on intermittently when the parking break was set. The Ford dealer I bought the truck from found a leaking rear left break line and replaced the left rear parking break motor assembly. The warning light kept coming on intermittently when setting the parking break after this repair. I took it to my local Ford dealer who said nothing was wrong. I’m now on a trip and the warning light continues to intermittently come on. Took it to another Ford dealer who reconnected a wire and said if that didn’t work it needed a new abs module. I continued on my trip and the warning light kept coming on. Stopped at another Ford dealer who cleaned up some connectors. The warning light kept coming on and I took it back. Now they think it needs a new abs module and said it is back ordered for 2 months and I’m a 1000+ miles from home.

The following components have failed multiple times over the course of 3 months to include the above referenced recalls and additional components. The recalls have been completed per Ford . The instrument panel was not going blank until the software update was completed now it malfunctions multiple times a day . The brake warning will appear randomly and without warning depicting "brake system fault" service required . "parking brake fault " service required immediately. In addition to the above issues the entire lighting/lamp system will turn off unwarranted at night while on auto . Reported multiple issues as described to autonation Ford and Ford credit. No resolution has been provided.

The contact owned a 2025 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, and while depressing the brake to stop the vehicle from hitting a stopped vehicle, the rear end locked up and did not slow down as intended, and the front of the vehicle collided with the rear of the stopped vehicle. The contact sustained a broken sternum and had a concussion, and needed medical attention at a later time. A police report was taken. The vehicle was towed to two tow lots, where it was deemed a total loss. The contact stated that one day she received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v488000 (service brakes, hydraulic), four days later in the mai,l and believes the failure to be associated with the unrepaired recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,200.

When you’re stopped and have the auto hold feature on, and open your door, the gear selector will automatically shift to park and engage the e-brake. Off and on, this will cause the brake system to fault and will tell you to service immediately. A couple other times it triggered randomly with just having the auto hold feature activated. It’s happened on and off since I got the truck new. I have a video of me trying to engage and disengage the parking brake and nothing happens. I have to start and restart the truck multiple times to fix it.

I own a 2025 Ford F-150 lariat equipped with the factory tow package. The truck was sold to me and later serviced under the representation that the trailer brake controller was functional. Duvall Ford in clayton, GA installed and programmed only a brake controller switch and assured me the trailer brakes were working, without performing a functional brake output test. The truck was later found to be missing the required trailer brake control module (tbcm), meaning no trailer brakes could ever function. As a result, I unknowingly towed a 30-foot travel trailer from north carolina to California, across multiple states with zero trailer braking, creating multiple dangerous situations and close calls. Upon reaching California, aaron Ford of escondido inspected the vehicle and immediately identified the missing tbcm. They performed the proper repair, with an invoice of $1,043. 00. The original dealer’s incomplete and incorrect service directly created this safety hazard. This issue may affect other F-150 trucks that were sold or serviced with incomplete brake controller systems due to Ford’s mislabeled parts catalog.

Complete loss of brakes. There was zero response from the brake pedal for several complete pumps to the floor. After about 4 complete "stomps", the brakes locked, resulting in a violent and sudden stop. At the time, the dash began flashing multiple warning messages about display failure and also abs failure and making many alarm sounds, further distracting me from dealing with a very dangerous situation. Had this occurred at speed and not at a fast idle speed, serious injury or death would likely have occurred. This is a xcelerate fleet vehicle, and fleet services took the vehicle to a non-dealership shop, which claims to have fixed the problem but could not complete the recall repairs. Fleet has only just today agreed to tow the vehicle to a Ford dealership for recall repair. This incident occurred on 9/26/2025.

Brake failure on freeway vehicle has 2000 miles. I almost got off hwy but stayed on shoulder after brake warning avoided hitting cars and coasted with very little brakes. Could cause death vehicle was towed from hwy to the dealer.

Lower steering intermediate shaft bolt loose or missing recall incomplete front brake hose jounce bracket repair recall incomplete 3. 5l engine cup plug inspection recall incomplete connecting rod inspection recall incomplete transmission main control valve body replacement please add to the list of recalls incomplete from campaign 25s19/25v164. As front brake hose jounce bracket repair recall being incomplete is a immediate concern for reporting to any driver on the highway and roadway in transit. Please report for incomplete braking issue fixed, as is is detrimental on highway traffic at high mph.

While driving roughly 30-40mph, there was complete loss of brakes. Complete soft pedal to the floor with no brake function. Abs and brake lights flash on dash board, parking brake malfunction warning. No prior warnings, issues, messages indicating need for brake service. My wife and kids were in the car and were lucky to be on a street where we were able to coast to a stop. Any busy street or highway driving could have been sever accident/potential loss of life incident. The dealer said they have never seen this issue before and said they went through a bunch of control modules and simply reset and made software updates. I never received a confirmed "root cause". Dealer made above mentioned software updates and drove the car for 50 miles, claim the issue/service is complete and we need to take the car. No root cause, no confirmed component failure, etc. We do not feel safe taking delivery of the car. We have requested a Ford field service technician/engineer inspect the vehicle with no luck. We have started buy back/replacement process with Ford, no decision made - tells us we are subject to lemon law as if this is a "creature comfort" issue and that we need to take the car back.

While driving, a vehicle began stopping in front of me. I attempted to stop, however my braking power seemed heavily reduced. Eventually the emergency automatic braking kicked in and engaged my emergency brake. I barely stopped in time. Simultaneously, several warning lights appeared on my dash including abs, traction control, hill assist, and check engine. Immediately after the incident, my brake pedal felt loose. Braking power was severely diminished and delayed. Stopping while going a mere 5 mph would take about 10 yards. It was extremely dangerous and scary to operate - even to pull into the nearest safe parking lot. Upon restarting my vehicle twice, the lights went off except for the check engine light and my braking power returned.

Loss on all braking systems. Multiple warning lights including on dash. Brakes will become spongy and not stop or lock up all 4 wheels at slightest touch. Taken to dealer who provided a service memo ssm 53683 which basically says vehicle unable to power down and no fix available. Ford is aware of the problem and has done nothing to fix this despite multiple phone calls and emails. This is a significant safety issue vehicle is also brand new will less than 1000 miles on it.

Brakes failed on my 2025 f150 and several abs and brake system alarms came in. The problem went away on its own. I took the truck to my dealer and was told Ford is aware of the problem and does not have a fix. No other advice was given.

When backing Ford F-150 up on any kind of an incline rear end is locked up for about ten seconds causing a safety risk. When shifting from reverse to drive. Does not do this on a flat surface. Have almost been hit three times now by cars coming around the corner of my street. Does not throw a code. Been at dealership a couple weeks. Dealership sent tech to house to observe. Did it every time! truck only has 800 miles on it.
