The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. While operating the vehicle, the traction control light would illuminate and the power steering would suddenly malfunction. The steering wheel became very difficult to turn. The power steering failures occurred on multiple occasions and eventually went out completely. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the electronic power assist assembly malfunctioned. The electronic power assist assembly was replaced and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 20,000.

2010 F-150 Ford truck suddently brakes to the right or left abruptly slowing the vehicle and causing the vehicle to veer to the right or left. First occurance June 29, 2011. The traction control light comes on on the dash. Following instructions in the owners manual to turn the traction control off does not work. Instance happens most often when turning. Sudden slowing and veering in intersections almost have caused 2 accidents. The vehicle was taken/driven to the dealer on July 1, 2011 and the dealer advised the defect was repaired. Reaccurance on July 6 & 7--- vehicle returned to the dealer and I was advised the vehicle was repaired upon return of the vehicle on July 8. Reaccurance on July 15, today. I will seek repair at another dealer. This is a dangerous defect which I fear may cause an accident.
