Two problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 2000 Ford F-450. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While traveling at approximately 45 mph steering became very loose and difficult to control while brakes suddenly became mushy and increased stopping distance. Dealership examined vehicle and determined that a clamp that holds hydraulic fluid hose to frame was missing, which allowed the hose to move under hood, causing hose to rupture. Also, a stabilizer bar was not put in this vehicle to assist with steering control. Please provide any additional information/attachments. *note: the dealership mentioned to consumer that this problem occurred in one other vehicle.
Upon attempting to brake by depressing brake pedal rear brakes are inoperable, causing front brakes to lock up, resulting in vehicle skidding. Consumer has contacted dealer, dealer unable to determine cause. Please provide any further details.
