Two problems related to fuel injector have been reported for the 2005 Ford F-450. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My 2005 F-450 began losing power. I took it in to a dealership to get it fixed,(still under warranty). The problem is that the fuel tank is coming apart inside. The tank is lined inside with a sheet of aluminum. The aluminum is coming apart inside the tank and clogging the fuel system. So the dealership said I need a new fuel tank, fuel pump, injector pump, and new fuel injectors. This tank is defective. This has been a problem in these trucks since 1999-2008. Ford knew this was happening. Ford has had thousands of complaints about this problem. Now the dealership wants to charge me $4200. 00 to fix, even under warranty. Dealership says Ford will not cover there defective part. I'm the only one who drives this truck, always use pump fuel no biodiesel ever.
