One problem related to other fuel system pump has been reported for the 2005 Ford F-450. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-450 diesel. The contact stated that while driving 60 mph the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the interior paint of the fuel tank was delaminating. As a result, the fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, fuel injectors, and filters needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered no assistance because the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 70,000.
