The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-450. The contact stated that upon attempting to reverse the back over prevention display will become black, or the screen will remain locked and not display the rear view cameras view for the contacts use, the contact also noted that this applies to all cameras functionality on the vehicle, stating that because the center display does not function properly, none of the cameras view are made available. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed and the contact was advised that the origin of the failure was software malfunction and that the contact would have to wait for over the air software updates. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 12,500.
