The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-650 superduty. The contact stated that an electrical fire ignited in the battery compartment. The wiring within the ecm melted down which caused the fire. The fire was put out with an extinguisher. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealership where the dealer called the manufacturer who refused to assist in repair costs. The vehicle was repaired at that time. The current and failure mileages were 19,760.
